I've been visiting and now living on the Mendocino Cosst for decades. I just discovered an incredible restauran. I stumbled into Trillium Cafe and immediately became a fan! The setting in the cafe or outside in the charming garden makes one want to linger over their meal and the staff makes you enjoy every minute of your visit. The crab cakes are devine as are their salads. The apple cider maple vinaigrette should be sold by the bottle! They offer Mac and cheese, burgers, daily soup, rib eye steak, halibut plus breast and more. You must have dessert...even If you eat that first. Their pastry chef is a female Houdini, taking you to next level creations. Orange blossom cheesecake, blueberry cobbler with lemon crème fraiche ice cream and other seasonal magic. If you have the opportunity to try the frozen raspberry hibiscus mousse do not pass it up. There is a lime cookie base, topped by an ethereal, cloud like mousse topped by a light lime cream. Shooting out of the mousse are very thin chewy shards of meringue. Don't you deserve to treat yourself to lunch or dinner here? Prices are reasonable for the exceptionAl quality! Closed Wed/Thurs.

I had the most delicious lunch today. Albacore Avocado Toast sandwich with green salad. The tuna salad was piled high with homemade ricotta on tasty ciabatta - nestled alongside was a tender green salad perfectly dressed. It was really quite delicious..so good in fact it required a fork to lessen the pile (yay!) until i could manage the open-faced portion as intended....my compliments to the Tuesday lunch chef and of course all the friendly wait staff and owners. And Trillium's garden is a lovely place to while the time away with a newspaper crossword puzzle ....thank you!

Great restaurant with delicious food. The outdoor seating was spacious and lovely. We chose to sit inside because the smells were heavenly. The homemade bread sticks were divine; warm with a hint of rosemary. We shared the beet and burrata salad and the pear gorgonzola hazelnut salad. They were both good with delicious dressing. The mac and cheese was moan-worthy. The tomato bisque was flavorful and rich. My husband didn't think he'd like the onion tart but he ended up eating most of it. He also had blueberry cobbler for dessert which had lots of delicious blueberries and a flaky crust. The server was friendly and attentive.

We were visiting the area from SoCal. My husband was researching restaurants and we came across Trillium Cafe and Inn. I was impressed with everything ... the bread, to the salad, to our entrees and then dessert. We even shared a side order of Mac n cheese... yum!! My husband had the halibut, and I, being a vegetarian, had the gnocchi, which was amazing and healthy. We ordered the blueberry cobbler for dessert. I didn't get a photo of the blue cheese salad, which was delicious. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place.
